Grizzly H6070 Belt/Disc Sander

Not every machine in the shop needs to be huge and noisy. Sometimes they can be quite small….and noisy.

This little sander is a useful tool for many of our projects including a significant portion of the country crafts you see us create. The belt portion is 1″x30″ which we use for fine-tuning many of our smaller pieces. You can get many different types of grit for the belt but we lean towards some of the rougher ones and leave the fine sanding to be done by hand for the small pieces you’d find yourself using on here.

In our shop, the 5″ disc sander on the side doesn’t get used too much. In fact, we’ve removed the side tray and there is no sandpaper currently installed on the disc. This is no way a reflection on the machine but more so that it saved space and we also have a 12″ disc sander less than 3ft away. If you are making small crafts and projects in a limited space this is a must-have tool. Actually, if you are making the same projects in a huge space you will still probably want to have one of these little guys available.

It’s worth mentioning that its small size and low weight make it ideal if you don’t have a lot of counter space. You can hide this away in a cabinet when not in use very easily.
