One of the simple pleasures that I think every woodworker knows is the feeling of a fresh sheet of sandpaper. You often don’t even realize the paper you’re using is going bad and then out of nowhere it tears or gets a burn mark and then you know it’s time. The first pass on a new sheet is a revelation! It’s like using sandpaper for the very first time. Our oscillating spindle sander (pictured) was treated to a fresh spool of 120 grit and it is a dream to work with again.
