The finished Arizona Cypress Planter box. The inside dimensions are 36″ long and 18″ deep with a usable depth of 14″. Everything is built from 1″ thick wood and I recessed castors underneath so the entire box rides about 1/2″ from the ground. There are no exposed screw heads anywhere on the piece. All hardware was counter sunk and then pinned with maple dowels. This is both aesthetically pleasing as well as reduces the chances of rust forming over time. This can happen even if you use exterior screws like I did on this project.
