Lots of woodworking means lots of sawdust. There are a few different ways to handle large volumes of planer shavings. Some sawdust can be used as animal bedding as long as you are diligent to make sure it’s not mixed with wood like walnut which can be poisonous to some animals.
Depending on the species of wood you can use it to kill weeds as long as you don’t want much of anything else growing around that area too. One of the best options is to use it to soak up liquid spills in your shop or garage.
If anyone is in need of sawdust you’re free to reach out to us and we can put you on our list. It’s a first come first serve situation and we won’t assure animal safe unless we can be 100% certain there isn’t any cross contamination. However the sawdust is free to a good home haha.
