General Finishes makes a lot of great products that we like to use in our shop. We aren’t affiliated with them in any way (We’d love to be! haha) but it’s been important to us to share our experiences with products both good and bad. We have been using Arm R Seal for a few years now with great success but the Seal A Cell product is new to us. We were looking for something to use as a wipe on clear coat for a few of our projects that don’t require the high level of protection that a table or handles. I think we found that in Seal A Cell.
What is the difference between them? The quick and easy answer is:
Arm R Seal – Serious protection over the long term when applied appropriately. Great for tables and high wear pieces.
Seal A Cell – Good protection but not to the level of Arm R Seal. Great for mantels and other indoor projects.
