“There is no scrap wood. Just pieces not used yet.” I have that phrase on a tshirt and it describes our process in the wood shop perfectly. This image doesn’t show scale as well as I would have liked but the pieces here are all relatively small. Each is about 1 foot long and somewhere in the area of a quarter inch thick. They are the cutoffs from other projects that we toss in a box. Well it turns out if you line them all up it looks like a pretty interesting cutting board. This has inspired us to look more closely at our scrap boxes. Expect to see some interesting patterns and designs throughout 2018!
The Word “Scrap” Doesn’t Exist
