This diamond glue up will be the center inlay in a detailed cutting board we’re preparing. It is made from walnut, maple and cherry hardwood. The clever jig that is holding it down has a very specific purpose. In order to glue it into a cutting board we need both sides to be straight and parallel. That is very hard to cut on the table saw when you don’t already have one true edge. This jig will safely hold the piece while we trim one edge flawlessly. We can then run that against the fence to cut the other side. Tada!
