Binford Tools for the win!

Every wood worker has some special products that they absolutely love. These are the go to tools that you can always lean on to get out out of a jam. For us, one of those products is called Plastic Wood from a company called DAP.

What is Plastic Wood you ask? This little can of wonder contains a putty that can be applied to bare wood. It’s used best if you plan on staining or clear coating the final piece. It comes in six beautiful colors depending on the project you’re working on. The one I’m holding here is the “walnut” variety which we were using to touch up the gap around a hinge in a walnut lid. A little mixing to stir it up, apply generously and in a few hours you are ready to sand and go about your day. The final product dries hard and takes stain very well. We love using it on indoor furniture pieces.
