One of the most interesting consequences of the many different types of projects we do at ES&S Woodworking isn’t even noticed until cleanup time. Emptying one of the dust collectors recently showed this sedimentary sawdust. Looking over it shows the maple we used in some cutting boards and the bloodwood and purple heart we planed down for end grains. Some cherry that was turned on the lathe into a batch of pepper grinders is represented in a beautiful layer. All of it comes together and ends up making our trash look quite fetching. If anyone has a use for our sawdust contact us anytime. We’ve heard it makes good animal bedding and if we know ahead of time that it has a home we can make sure not to give you any wood species that might be harmful to our furry friends.
