Sometimes replacing old and aging molding is easier than trying to repair or rebuild it. This was the case with this painted sample molding cap shown above. We were able to to replicate 16 feet of replacement molding for the customer who will be painting it to match the existing trim in their house. While the design isn’t intricate or difficult it was imperative that the depth of the bevel be just deep enough to allow the paint to build up to match flawlessly with the molding already in place.
