This beautiful glue up became the lid for the essential oils box we posted about recently. Very thin strips of maple are cut to different thicknesses and then bent into a glue up of black walnut and purple heart. Each piece must dry before the next can be added. Building the center section alone required four days to build. This is due to the required safe drying time of the adhesive used. The glue manufacturer states that it is fine to work with it after an how. Experience has shown that it’s much safer to let it rest for a full 24 before using.
