This set of garden tools was finished with twin cherry handles and buffed to a fine polish. The black marks you see in the handles are not paint but actually burns left behind from carefully applying solid copper wire to the wood while it’s turning. The copper heats up quickly and sears the surface of the cherry leaving behind a permanent black stripe. We have several sets available in quite a few different wood choices.
