Shown here is a simple but beautiful glue up made from local hard maple and strips of imported bloodwood. The maple was ripped and put back together after flipping the pieces so the grain is no longer matched up. Even though it was glued back together next to another piece of identical color the fact that the grain is mismatched now allows for a lot of character in the board.
